Ah spring break, a time that should be relaxing but is often filled with studying and writing reports.
I had a midterm paper due (8-10 pages) upon returning from Spring Break so I spent a good 4 days worth writing it, editing, researching for that. I stuck around for a few days to work on the paper, clean my apartment, and hang out with my friend D. We got froyo for dinner on Saturday, went shopping to practically every store in town (like 4) then settled in to watch Dateline and play with puzzles.. we’re really cool.
I got this tank from Oldnavy. I like it a lot. and they were on sale.
I did go hang out with my parents for a few days too We hit up Shady Maple – a huge buffet restaurant everyone loves and drives over an hour to eat at. It did not disappoint. I had a fantaastic piece of ice cream cake We hit the thrift stores and scored big on two pairs of flats
We grocery shopped at costco! This carrot juice is so good and it was really cheap on sale!
We went back to MOM’s organic of course, my favorite grocery store
to replenish my stock of dried bananas We visited a family friend pursuing her PhD at UPENN. I walked around to see the campus and talked with other PhD students to get their feedback and opinions for me to consider when choosing a program (next year!).
We shopped! I got this fabbbb new skirt from TARGET for business occasions. (I think it was even cheaper in the store than listed online)
And some new jeans! Love the color and high rise!
Overall we a pretty successful break!
I worked on my paper, had some adventures, and still got a lot of relaxing time.
Other then the fact I had strep throat the whole week and was pretending I wasn’t sick thinking it would make me get better.
